Women Creating Waves of Change with Impact 100 St. Lucie County

When women come together with a shared mission, incredible things happen—and Impact 100 St. Lucie County is living proof.

Led by Janet Maffucci, President of the St. Lucie County chapter, this powerful local arm of a national non-profit brings together women across the county who each contribute $1,000 annually. The pooled funds are then awarded to one deserving non-profit organization making a meaningful difference right here in our community. It’s philanthropy with purpose, and the ripple effect is undeniable.

What makes Impact 100 St. Lucie County so unique is its simplicity and scale. One woman. One thousand dollars. One vote. But when 100—or even more—women band together, the power of collective giving becomes transformational. Every dollar stays local, fueling programs and projects that directly benefit St. Lucie County residents.

Each year, non-profits submit grant proposals, and members carefully review them before casting their votes. The selected organization receives a high-impact grant that helps them dream bigger, reach farther, and serve more. Previous recipients have used their funding to expand youth services, provide shelter, support health initiatives, and much more.

Beyond writing checks, Impact 100 members are also rolling up their sleeves through Give Back Saturday, a volunteer initiative where members donate their time to local charities. Whether packing meals, painting walls, or reading to children, these events strengthen bonds between members while giving hands-on support to the causes they care about.
